The McCrory’s

The McCrory’s are a couple of doers that enjoy doing and making and want to share this with you. We are Eric (also know as Dude) and Margaret and we live on the 172 (that is how much ground we borrow from Mother Earth). It is not much, really only 0.172 of an acre. No, we do not live in Wyoming, we live in Wisconsin. Real live stuff goes on at the 172 and that is what we will show you.

What life is like on the 172:

If you want to see laundry soap stored in a fancy glass jar, you might want to look elsewhere (we store ours in an animal food bin, who is going to see it). This is real life here.

How I store my laundry soap. I use white vinegar as fabric softener.

If you want to see clean and shiny lapidary equipment, this probably is not the place for you. The rock cutting and polishing area, looks like a rock cutting and polishing area (greasy and a little messy) a lot goes on there.

Our jewelry table has cabochons, stones, beads, wire, and hemp on it, that’s life.

A lot of time is spend doing and creating and not a lot of time on keeping our doing and creating areas spotless (why, that is a time suck). We are busy people. We both have full time jobs away from home and limited time to do and create. So, why spend that precious time cleaning and making things look good. We have an organized mess. That is what will be showing you.

When we show you how we make yogurt or butter or chocolate, that room is clean after all it is the kitchen. But our craft room, our rock cutting area, our rock tumbling area in the basement, not so much. Heck, there is even dye on the wall in the basement from Eric tie dying.

Our lives and sharing:

This is our lives, and this is how we choose to share it with you. Life is hard enough, why try to be something your not!! So, we hope you enjoy our sometimes funny out of place things in our pictures, the messes we have almost everywhere, and life on the 172, where all the cool kids hang out.
